Why Recycle my Wireless Phone?
“It's easy, and it’s good for the environment! When used wireless phones are collected for recycling, the component parts – such as plastics and precious metals – can be used in other products, from kitchen cabinets to circuitry boards”.
Any group or organization can set up a cellular phone collection program. And by doing so, you will be doing your part to protect the environment and potentially earn funds to support your group or charity.
Things you need to know are:
1. Phones can be collected by going door to door, at sporting events
or drop off boxes located at a school or business location.
2. It is recommended the target group be notified of the collection
effort via bulletin / newsletter, e-mail at least two weeks prior to
the official start date. Specific instructions should include the following:

Collected phones should be deactivated through the wireless
provider.
All data (phone numbers, pictures, text messages) should be removed. Remove your phone’s SIM card, if it has one. Phones that operate on GSM networks use SIM Cards. If you are not sure if your phone uses a SIM card or if you need assistance removing your SIM card contact your wireless provider.
Consolidated Logistics, Inc. will not be responsible for data remaining on handsets.
Consolidated Logistics, Inc. will arrange for pick-up and shipping.
To qualify for free shipping, there must be 50 or more collected phones and collection box weight should not exceed 25 lbs.
4. A monetary value will be assigned for each cellular phone collected.

Minimum value $.25 for non-working cellular handsets
Which Wireless devices can be collected for recycling?
1) $$$ Wireless phone handsets (working and non-working) $$$
2) $$$ Personal digital assistants (PDAs) that operate on wireless networks $$$
3) $$$ Wireless computer cards $$$
4) $$$ Bag phones and Installed cellular phone models $$$
5) Accessories such as spare batteries, phone chargers, cables, headsets, earpieces, cases, clips and cradles.
6) Home cordless phones, Pagers, Walkie-Talkies and Two Way Radios will be accepted but do not have value.
